South London based vocalist and producer Laura Bettinson has been involved in a wide array of creative projects ever since graduating from Goldsmiths (legendary launch pad for Blur, Katy B and James Blake), encompassing art, music, film and fashion. FEMME is Bettinson's solo project. Inspired by sixties girl groups and the attitude of artists like MIA and Debbie Harry, FEMME combines a playful, avant-pop aesthetic with big, beat -driven music. Stella McCartney is already a fan, choosing FEMME to soundtrack her 2013 catwalk collection.
Having already performed at The Great Escape, Camden Crawl, Coachella and a headline show at the Shacklewell Arms, FEMME is gearing up for the release of her debut album. Including a global TVC sync with boohoo and plays on Made in Chelsea, boosting thousands of rapid hits on her 'Fever Boy' video causing it to be spiked and taken down by Youtube. Followed by features on MTV and by Perez Hilton, she will be embarking on a huge USA/Canadian tour along side Charlie XCX.
Bound to break into America, having proved great reception in the UK. FEMME released her debut single 'S.O.S' on ZTT Records. She's gained attention from Radio 1, XFM, as well as featuring in the Spotify Viral charts.
